Terms and Conditions

1. General Information

  • Bliss Retreat (“we”, “our”, or “us”) welcomes you to an unparalleled retreat experience in Gdinj, Hvar Island. By booking a stay, you (“the guest” or “you”) agree to abide by the following terms and conditions which outline your obligations, our responsibilities, and the framework for an enjoyable retreat.

2. Booking Process

  • To secure your reservation, complete our online booking form and provide a digital agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
  • A deposit of 300€ is required to confirm your booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days prior to the retreat start date, or it may result in the cancellation and forfeiture of any payments made.
  • Payments can be made via direct bank transfer or credit card using CorvusPay, a secure online payment system. All transaction fees are the responsibility of the guest.
  • Within 24 hours of booking, we will confirm availability and assist with any inquiries via email or a scheduled live chat before finalizing your reservation.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Deposit Refunds:
    • 100% refund for cancellations made 30+ days before the retreat start date.
    • 50% refund for cancellations made 15-29 days before the retreat start date.
    • 0% refund for cancellations made 0-14 days before the retreat start date.
  • Balance Refunds:
    • If the remaining balance has been settled, it is fully refundable until the day prior to the start date of the retreat.
  • In the event of significant currency fluctuations, surges in food, utility, or petrol costs, or changes in local government taxes, Bliss reserves the right to adjust retreat prices accordingly. Guests will be informed of any changes prior to the final payment due date.
  • Bliss retains the right to cancel the retreat under emergency circumstances. Such cancellations will not occur within 60 days of the retreat start date unless due to force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control).
  • In the event of cancellation by Bliss, guests will receive a full refund of payments made to us.

4. Meals and Dietary Requirements

  • Bliss provides two meals per day: breakfast and dinner. Lunch is not provided but guests have access to a snack and salad buffet, a bar, and shared kitchen amenities.
  • Dietary restrictions and preferences (e.g., dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free) can be accommodated if communicated before arrival.

5. Code of Conduct

  • Guests are expected to treat the facilities and property with respect. Any damages caused by negligence or misuse will be the financial responsibility of the guest.
  • Participants are encouraged to uphold a respectful and positive demeanour towards fellow attendees, staff, instructors, and retreat hosts, as well as their teaching methods and service approaches.
  • It is important to show respect for the local culture, community, conditions, and standards.
  • Guests must adhere to any house rules provided at check-in.
  • Bliss is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the retreat.
  • In the event that a guest exhibits destructive behaviour, including but not limited to abusive language, physical aggression, or temper outbursts, they will be required to vacate the villa immediately, with no entitlement to a refund and will be responsible for all extra costs incurred due to their early departure.

6. Travel and Transfers

  • Transfers from Split Airport (SPU) to the retreat location and ferry tickets are included. Guests arriving at other airports (e.g., Zagreb, Zadar, Pula, Dubrovnik) must arrange their own transportation to Split. Please note that airfare is not included in the package.
  • Share your travel details with us, and we will assist with planning and logistics.

7. Health and Safety

  • By attending the retreat, you declare that you are in good health and capable of participating in the activities provided.
  • Please let us know in advance if you have any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that could impact your participation. If you're uncertain about the suitability of any scheduled activities, we recommend consulting your doctor as well as Bliss for guidance.
  • Travel insurance is not included in the retreat package. Guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, personal belongings, and any other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Insurance should cover medical expenses as well as the costs associated with repatriation if you become too ill to continue your vacation. This includes costs of helicopter rescue and air ambulance services.

8. Liability

  • Bliss Retreat is not liable for any personal injuries, illnesses, or accidents that may occur during your stay or while participating in retreat activities, whether on or off the property.
  • Guests are responsible for their own safety and belongings. We recommend leaving irreplaceable valuables at home.
  • Bliss is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events outside of our control, including natural disasters, government actions, or strikes.
  • If you engage in any illegal activity or display behaviour that may pose a threat or cause distress to others, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday arrangements without any liability.
  • You irrevocably agree to release and waive any claims you may have, now or hereafter, against the owners and activity providers associated with Bliss. This includes any yoga or mind-body-spirit instructors and therapists who may provide services during your stay.

9. Activities and Participation

  • Participation in any retreat activities is voluntary, and guests are responsible for assessing their own fitness and ability to partake. Should you encounter any pain or discomfort, or if you feel uncertain about executing any specific movement during the practice, it is important to listen to your body and seek assistance from the instructor.
  • The retreat includes yoga and meditation sessions, workshops, a beach excursion, and other scheduled activities. Optional extras (e.g., massages, hiking, wine tasting) are available at additional cost.
  • While Bliss may serve as a facilitator for arranging additional activities during the retreat, we cannot be held responsible for the execution of these services. Any concerns or complaints regarding these activities should be directed to the service provider.
  • Bliss reserves the right to adjust the program schedule in response to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
  • If a retreat participant is unable or opts not to follow the planned itinerary during their holiday, Bliss is not responsible for providing alternative itineraries, excursions, accommodations, services, or staff.
  • Additionally, Bliss is not liable to refund any money for services which have not been utilized by the client.

10. GDPR (European Union Data Protection Law) Agreement

  • In compliance with the GDPR, you acknowledge that your personal data will be utilized by Bliss for practical purposes to assist, support, and document your stay.
  • It is understood that Bliss retains the right to record and share on its website, in newsletters, advertisements, or on social media any photos, videos, audio recordings, and/or written feedback captured during the retreat.
  • Bliss will use this documentation judiciously and will avoid intentionally publishing any material that could be perceived as invasive or unflattering. Should you find any materials to be intrusive or unflattering, you have the option to request their removal from public access.
  • Bliss is not responsible or liable for any documentation created or published by other parties.

11. Copyright Infringement

  • Bliss materials and images are not permitted for use in public listings on yoga or retreat booking websites, including bookretreats.com, or any other platform where Bliss has a recognized online presence.
  • When sharing copyrighted materials from Bliss, such as photos or videos, it's essential to credit them appropriately as belonging to Bliss. If you're uncertain, please feel free to share your materials with us before publishing.

12. Visa Requirements

  • All guests must arrange appropriate travel visas and other travel documents. Croatia is part of the European Union (EU) and a member of the Schengen Area.
  • Citizens of Schengen Area member states and countries with visa-free agreements with the EU don't need a tourist visa to enter Croatia: the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, EU countries, etc.
  • Citizens of countries that do not have a visa-free agreement with the EU or the Schengen Area need a tourist visa to enter Croatia. These include: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Belarus, Cuba, Egypt, Ghana, India, Iraq, Jamaica, Kenya, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Zimbabwe, etc.
  • For more specifics or updates check with the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs or your nearest consulate.

13. Acknowledgment of Terms

  • By completing a booking form online and making a deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement is binding, irrespective of a physical signature.
